Computer scientist. Former professor at Technical University Ilmenau, Germany, where he earned his PhD in engineering. Spent many years in Germany specializing in object-oriented technologies: Smalltalk programming, analysis, and design, developing complex systems in Smalltalk, subsequently Java. Ran training courses for German industry and financial institutions within the scope of object-orientation. Worked on projects for AEG, Versicherungskammer Bayern, and Siemens, amongst others.
